We are proud of our reputation for fantastic breakfasts. We take care and pride in sourcing our ingredients from the Sissinghurst estate, our local producers and friendly farmers in the Garden of England.
Whether you prefer a hearty traditional breakfast or a healthy alternative to start your day, we have many delicious dishes to tempt you.
Free range eggs are delivered to the door by Carol Sparrow from Golford, Sissinghurst .
Locally smoked bacon and hearty sausages are from local Hawkhurst animals reared by Andy Clark who played rugby with our son Will for Cranbrook Rugby Club.
Seasonal fresh Asparagus grown across the road at Frogs Hole, is served between April and June; juicy, sweet cherries grown close by at Aragon Farm are served from May. Of course we always have a great supply of Kentish apples and pears which are either served as juice or made into a delicious Kent Bircher muesli by Frazer and drizzled with Cranbrook Honey.
Finally the Weald Smokery provides us with excellent smoked salmon.
We enjoy welcoming guests with tea and cake on arrival in our sumptuous sitting room or outside in the garden enjoying the afternoon sun. Gill makes a delicious Lemon Drizzle cake and she has perfected her gluten free cake too.
Afternoon tea for 2 or more is available to order. Freshly made sandwiches, home made scones and jam with cream and a selection of homemade cakes served with a selection of teas or coffee is a great way to wind down.
If you want to make the most of the beautiful Sissinghurst estate and wander through the woods and along the footpaths to find a peaceful setting, we can provide a delicious picnic of freshly made sandwiches, home made cakes and some fruit and a picnic blanket. You may want to travel further afield and find your own special place in The Garden of England. Just let us know.
We are lucky to have an abundance of very good places to eat and drink. Whether you would like to wander across the estate to a country pub or try one of the Michelin starred restaurants nearby, or enjoy a glass of fizz overlooking a vineyard, just let us know. Bookings are usually required, so give us as much notice as you can.
