We are very lucky to live in an area that has an abundance of some great places to eat, whether you want to walk across the Sissinghurst estate for a pub lunch in one of the oldest pubs in the area or take a ride out to have lunch on a terrace with a view over a local vineyard to sample some of their award winning English wines or maybe even a special intimate supper at one of two michelin restaurabnts less than 10 minutes away.
Some of our suggestions......
The Three Chimneys, Biddenden Tel: 01580 291472
The Three Chimneys at Biddenden is a tradiotional freehouse country pub. The unique location of this beautiful old building (dating back to 1420) means that youcan enjoy the history and scenery of the Weald of kent on the edge of the Sissinghurst estate. On a warm summers evening it is a 25minute walk from The Farmhouse across the estateto the pub, you can always borrow a torch for the walk back.
Open 7 days a week Reservations advisable on Friday and Saturday
The Swan at Chapel Down Vineyard, Tenterden Tel: 01580 761616
We are excited about the opening this month (May 2012) of The Swan at Chapel Down. They will be serving a great value locally sourced English menu obvioulsy all washed down with the award winning wines from Chapel Down. Chapel Down is about 20 minutes away opposite Small Hythe Place on the outskirts of the picturesque town of Tenterden. For a an interesting day out why not enjoy a tour and tasting at the vinesyard followed by lunch in the restaurant.

The Bull at Benenden Tel: 01580 01580 240054
This is one of our favourite local pubs , it has a great atmosphere and is situated on the edge of the village green in Benenden. Mark and Lucy serve good pub food which is sourced locally and offer a very good selection of local wines and beers.
Benenden is about a 10 minute drive from The Farmhouse.
Open daily but no food served on Sunday evenings
